Upcoming Slawko Fedechko Seasons Opener Regatta - Volunteers Needed

April 26, 2014

Once again we are coming up to the Slawko Fedechko Season Opener regatta on May 3 & 4 and it will signal the start of the 32nd year of competition for Ridge Canoe & Kayak Club. This regatta is named in honour of Slawko Fedechko who, along with his wife Patti, brought their two children (Gill and Farron) to the club and spent hundreds of hours volunteering each year to make our club successful. RCKC has a rich history of volunteering and the club would not exist if parents of the past had not made the effort to help with things like regattas, running the club and maintenance. They also did the fundraising that enabled RCKC to build the clubhouse and docks, buy boats and hire top notch coaches, things that benefit every current member and family. With these thoughts in mind, I am again asking for your help. with the following:

Please indicate which of these jobs you would like to take on. Some are a full day but many can be just a few hours........whatever you are able to do is appreciated. Thanks for your help.

Regatta Coordinator

Great food and live music was enjoyed by 90 guests at the Whonnock Lake Centre on New Years Eve. Many will be coming back next year.
