Every year our club looks for coaches and volunteers. If you are looking for a career as a coach, or to help out the community and youth as a volunteer, contact the Commodore or the Program Coordinator for more information.
Coaching Opportunities
During the warmer seasons, coaches are hired to train our young athletes for kayaking or canoeing. If you have a NCCP (National Coaching Certification Program) level, experienced in the paddling sports, and you enjoy working with children and youth, contact the Program Coordinator.
We are seeking instructors for the following positions:
Senior Instructor
The Senior Instructor provides professional administrative support for club programming, promotes fun, supportive and well organized programs in a safe environment, supports teambuilding and fair play, and encourages all participants to achieve to the best of their ability. As a lead instructor team member, the responsibilities includes overseeing the daily operations and participating in speaking presentations. Summer Program Instructors (2)
The Summer Program Instructor provides professional administrative support for club programming, promotes fun, supportive and well organized programs in a safe environment, supports teambuilding and fair play, and encourages all participants to achieve to the best of their ability. Two positions are available taking place from Jun 23, 2014 for a duration of 9 weeks. The deadline to apply is on Apr 21, 2014. For more details, refer to the job description for this position.
Volunteer Opportunities
Your help would be appreciated in our regattas and our fundraising activities. A way to help your community, have fun, and to meet friendly people awaits.

If you have not been an official but would be willing to learn, we are always looking for new people! We always need lots of volunteers as well (outside of those listed below) and it is a great way to get to know people and learn more about the sport! Fundraising Events
For our fundraisers, we need organizers, decorators, ticket sellers, and anyone else who can make it a successful event. Supplies and services offered as donations in kind will be gratefully accepted. To help out in an event, or if you have fundraising ideas, contact the Commodore who will direct you to the right person. If you can serve as an Event Coordinator, let us know!
