Tessa Nagai – Head Coach
Tessa has been a coach for over a decade and has her Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology. Her experience in competition, coaching, and school have made her an incredible resource for athletes and coaches alike. She has coached athletes from the beginner level up to the Olympic Games and everything in between. Her wealth of knowledge, and supportive attitude is a benefit to everyone at the club. Tessa has been the RCKC Head Coach since 2017 and coaches the High Performance, Junior Development, and Masters programs.
Sam Rosenthal – Junior Development Coach
Sam has been an athlete and coach for over a decade with RCKC. He has several years of post-secondary education and has completed his paramedic licensing and is training to become a firefighter. Sam is our Junior Development coach and is an important member of the RCKC family. With his high energy, work ethic, and love for the sport, he works to instil these qualities in all of his athletes. Sam also serves as the Safety Officer for regattas several times a year.
Lizzy Sallos – Paddling Pals Coach
Lizzy has paddled with RCKC for the last few years and coached various programs, including being the School Group and Summer Program Staff Leader, and Paddling Pals coach. She has extensive experience with youth groups and has many years of post-secondary education, working toward a degree in social work. Her organization, positive attitude, and inclusivity make her a huge asset to the RCKC coaching staff.
