Club Etiquette

As this club is family friendly, we can all do our part to keep it clean and fun!

Membership

When signing up as a member, one of the forms to be filled out is the Code Of Conduct. After reading it, athletes and parents are expected to show good sportsmanship, moral and ethical behaviour, and respect and consideration for others. There will be no swearing, no drugs, no alcohol, and no abusive behaviour that will be tolerated. We want to make this a fun place to be for everyone!

Regattas

For those who are attending a regatta for the first time, here is some information. The athletes should arrive at least an hour before the start of the regatta. The schedule is usually posted on the side of the clubhouse, so the athletes should bring paper and pencil to write down the times of their races, the number of the race, and what lane number they will be in. The coaches will supervise them to make sure they are on the water on time for their race with their number attached to their boat, but it is the athlete’s responsibility to get to the start line on time. Make sure your child bring snacks, lunch and something to drink to last all day.
